Rice making, independent of agricultural chemicals and
chemical fertilizers, using rice-ducks (cross between wild
and a domestic ducks) and recycled paper multiplefarming
method
"Kyosei no Daichi (symbiotic earth) Niigata 21, Ltd." is a professional
farming group, devoted to growing rice in the rice-producing
district of Niigata.
We raise the following 4 principles as our guidance to further
develop Japanese rice making in the 21st century:
・Harmony with nature
・Harmony with consumer
・Harmony with the elderly and the younger generations
・Harmony with the processing, distribution, and financial
organizations |
Moreover, this group is a nonprofit organization committed to
producing safe organic rice. It was established by 14 members
within Niigata prefecture on March 26, 1997.
Relying on the soil prepared by using organic matters and microbiological
organism (such as rice-duck farming), we are devoted to
making rice without the use of agricultural chemicals and chemical
fertilizers. Each operation consists of a land of 5-30 ha for
individual members, and 30-75 ha for corporate members, all of
which are professionals with excellent skill. Every year, they participate
in rice cropping study sessions and meet with other organizations
to further polish their skills. The result is highly-praised
by the "Affiliated Diet Modification Diffusion Party", the leading
consumer movement with 40 years of experience in Niigata prefecture,
and also by "Yamatane", a major wholesaler in Tokyo.
Furthermore, the nonprofit organization "Akatonbo", recognized
as a private organic authentication organization by the recently
amended JAS Law, is formed by the member of "Kyosei no Daichi
Niigata 21, Ltd.", and is dedicated to promoting the authentication
of rice-based organic farm products.
