Sake under the Sea

We at Kikusui, along with 15 other breweries from across Japan took part in the “Aging Under the Sea” project to age our Sake under the waves.

We chose our Ginjo Aged Funaguchi Sake and sunk it under the sea off the coast of Shizuoka Prefecture. The picture below is from the initial operation last November and the planned raising of the Sake will be in April.

Over the same period we will be aging the same Sake in our brewery. We are offering a limited edition 120, 2 bottle set of the same Sake aged under the sea and on land.
